chasing the light

A quarter of the way into my pregnancy I discovered Pinterest. This led to a ridiculous amount of baby product searching, nursery inspiration gathering (I think this is where my chevron obsession began), and entirely waaaay too much time spent on idea hunting in general. Somewhere amongst the thousands of pregnancy pins, I made the decision that I wanted to do a maternity shoot. Not the kind of quirky, cheesy (or kinky- please) shoots I've seen; but something super cute and tasteful. Given that our go-to engagement and wedding photographer resides in Colorado, I was forced to look local. Enter the fabulously talented Melissa Deakin of Melissa Deakin Photography. I gave her a call, and presto- we had a date on the calendar for late March, around my 36th week of gestation.

Here's the product of that gorgeous 75 degree afternoon where we spent chasing the light.

Colden's calling!
