trimming the tree

As mentioned earlier, I have a serious obsession with Christmas cards. I love everything about this age-old English tradition, including: writing a sweet sentiment, updating loved ones on family, and wishing everyone you know a happy holiday season- all on paper, to be delivered.

This is the third year that we've constructed our Christmas card tree, and the second at Colden's house. Every day from December 1st on, our tree takes a different look as new cards arrive (some days fatter, some days taller). I find myself giddy when opening each new envelope, as I rush to trim our silly card tree.

As of today, here's where we're at.

It's definitely morphed into more of an egg shape, but I'm ok with that. We'll have a head start on Easter. Good thing the rest of the house is trimmed for the correct holiday.

All is calm, all is bright. Merry Christmas Eve.
