side-wisp trim

For as long as he's had hair, Colden's been sporting what I've affectionately dubbed his 'wings'. These fine wisps of blonde hair grew at lightning speed on the sides of his head, yet somehow the back never caught up. For a while I decided to leave them- they were cute, starting to curl, and added just the right amount of whimsy. The day came however, when one too many a stranger mistakenly referred to Colden as a SHE. The whimsy had to go. As an early Mother's Day treat, we took Colden to the best salon in the city: Fawn and Fox, for a sweet little side-wisp trim.

Here's the BEFORE shot. Ohhh how I already miss those wings....

Let the trimming begin with kisses for Daddy.

A little wiggling is nothing this fox can't handle.

He's not quite sure if it 'hurts'...such a sweetheart.

One side wisp-be-gone.

No shame in the art of distraction. Comb, anyone?

Wing trims require intense focus from all parties involved.

Less than ten minutes later and we're all done, with no tears! But where's my hair, mommy?

The AFTER-cut jubilation. Or really it's sitting in that chair...

No more wings! Now, where's your shirt and sweater Cole baby?

With our wisps stowed in a baggie, we were on our way. Thank you Fawn and Fox, our little pup never looked so good.

Or so grown up.

May I request that time slow down a bit before our next side-wisp trim. xx
