In the last ten days, our family of three has flown across the country, taken part in a family reunion, celebrated two birthdays, starred in a baptism, attended a baby shower, toured Yellowstone, driven through three states, introduced our offspring, prepared to evacuate and stood helpless as a fire destroyed the homes of hundreds just miles away, and last but not least; fell victim to a terrible stomach virus that resulted in a trip to the ER.
Oh what fun.
I plan to post on each and every one of these said events, some of course, being much more delightful than others. For now, it's
Father's Day. And we are finally home, at
Colden's House.
When I
married met Matt, I always knew he would be a
wonderfully devoted father. But it wasn't until I saw him hold Colden for the first time that I realized I had completely underestimated the pure and unconditional love he would have for our son. These two share a special bond that could never be replaced. Even when our sweet boy tests us, throws up daily, and ends up in the ER- Daddy is
always there, and
always smiling.
Our sweet Colden has learned the word 'kiss'...
Thank you Matt, for being just who you are:
a truly amazing father. Colden loves you more than you know.
Happy Father's Day with love.
