halloween recap

It's that time of year again, where it's perfectly acceptable to dress your kids up in either super sweet or eeirly frightening costumes and send them out, willingly, into the night to ring the bells of strangers' homes in hopes of returning with a plastic pumpkin's worth of sugary candy guaranteed to secretly send an army of decay soldiers right at your dental work. Yes, I'm talking about Halloween.

Thankfully Colden is still too little to send out on his own, so this year he stayed at home with Grandma and Grandpa while mommy and daddy went to a very chic and sophisticated costume party (if only I had pictures of the decorations). Enter: The Duke and Duchess. Colden happily obliged to play Prince George, and even took it to the next level by donning a giraffe costume for the neighbor's kiddie friendly party before hand.

The automatic timer means Prince William makes a blurry appearance...

At nightfall Kate meets Dexter, and his victim.

Later in the week Colden attended his class' costume party at school. Have I ever mentioned I love babies in costume?

Someone's signing for bubbles!

Colden's pal Jack (Evie's twin brother), tags along sometimes at class to play. I found it super cute that the two of them went off together (totally on their own) to play trucks. Boys will be boys.

When the time came to greet trick-or-treaters a few days later, our little night owl wanted to live up to his namesake.

Candy, anyone?

What will Colden be next year?
