Last year, Colden was four days old and still in the NICU on Easter Sunday. That first Easter Matt pushed me around the hospital in my wheelchair as we delivered Peep S'mores (Easter treats containing the obvious essentials: graham crackers, Peeps, and mini Hershey's chocolates), to all of my and Colden's nurses. This Easter, Colden practically lept out of Matt's arms during praise and worship at our church. He is thriving. He is strong. He has risen above all odds.
What a difference a year makes.
Here's how our Easter Sunday went this year. The set up includes a festive bunny bunting...
And an extra basket from Grammy, of course.
Colden's early morning discovery = pure jubilation (albeit blurry).
I LOVE EASTER!
All ready for church. What a baller.
Time to dig in. For me? He ponders.
What's this??
The Tale of Peter Rabbit...
Stuffed Peeps, AND toy candy eggs?
YES!
I love Peeps!
Plus he made it through the entire Easter Sunday service without a peep. Pun definitely intended.
Next year I'm vowing to get a photo of our sweet family of three. We are so blessed.
Happy Easter from Colden's House.

What a lucky boy, his second Easter before turning 1! Love the way you all celebrated the holiday, your sweet boy, and family time. AND in such great style! He looks so darn cute in his Sunday best.
