summertime

In western New York, we wait all year for summertime. To spend lazy afternoons outside, to barbecue on the patio, to have play dates park side, and to celebrate the season by the pool. The summer has only just begun, and I have a bundle of memories to share. I'm still finding that balance between being a part of the activity, and documenting it. I always wish I would have taken more photos in the moment; but then I'd miss the moment, wouldn't I? Ahh, c'est la vie. I don't seem to have a problem snapping several while we're playing inside, so here's a little of what we've been up to lately.

The summer humidity means an explosion of curls, for both mama and son.

Cool Breeze is in love with his new float suit..

Someone has a new way of riding to the park...

All boy, this one.

He rides a little differently post-park of course..

There's nothing like a little father-son time.

Another trip to Rochester.

More curls, and a forehead shiner after riding his bike in the driveway..now that's something I need to document. He can fly on that thing! (I'm adding bike photos and videos to my mental to-do list)

This wagon is the best push cart around. It's practically all-terrain.

These two! Posting up at Larkin Square's food truck party. They're just so in the know.

More shenanigans.

He sure loves this chair. I still can't believe Grammy and Papa brought it here as their carry on.

Hurray for summertime!
